Charma BelnavisCharma Belnavis is a member of Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC), Dance Educators of America (DEA), as well as Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA). She has over 35 years of dance, performance, teaching, and adjudication experience. Ms. Belnavis is the proud owner of as well as Artistic Director, Principal Teacher, and Choreographer at C.B. Dance Academy, which she established in 1985. Her students have won an outstanding number of scholarships and highest over-all titles from the most respected dance organizations across North America and her inventive choreography has received numerous awards throughout Canada and the United States.

Ms. Belnavis’ students have been accepted into the prestigious National Ballet School of Canada, Toronto Dance Theatre as well as the Quinte Ballet School. Ms Belnavis students have also gone on to perform with Downbeats Tap Company, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Deerhurst Resorts, Toronto Raptor’s Cheerleader Team and Raptors Junior Dance Paks, performed in numerous television dance videos. Many of Ms Belnavis’ students have gone on to various professional careers in the performing arts.
Charma’s philosophy has always been: to give the best possible foundation in dance; to increase the awareness and potential in our young people; and to help send them forward with grace, poise, and a sense of self-discipline required to achieve success in today’s world.
